An edition is a set of identical prints created by an artist from the same stencil. The concept of a “limited edition” is vital for printmakers and collectors to distinguish an original art print from a reproduction.
It is generally recognized that the smaller the edition, the more valuable the print. So as well as authenticating prints with their signature, artists will number their editions, usually in pencil, in the margins. Each is noted as a fraction of the agreed print run, providing collectors with a guarantee of the work’s originality.
Weng Contemporary sources its artworks from the most reputable dealers, galleries, and auction houses in the world. Artworks are carefully examined before being listed on our website. Furthermore, the majority of editions by contemporary artists sold on Weng Contemporary come directly from the artist’s studio.
All artworks listed on Weng Contemporary are guaranteed to be available at their listed price.
We pride ourselves on offering a 100% guarantee on prices and availability of all listed artworks, providing you with an unparalleled level of transparency and reliability.
