Jan Henderikse is an eclectic artist, involved in assemplages, installations and limited editions. The originality of his works can be found in his method: he uses whatever materials, like Industrial products and discarded materials, and produces serial composition that depicts reality avoiding any personal handwriting or personal touch. Similar to the manufactory process within factories, his art emphasizes impersonality. This original sculpture, Zero, is a white neon tube sculpture. To realize this sculpture, Henderikse wrote on a sheet of paper the words "zero" and "ZERO" several times. Through a glass blower and neon technician, he translated then his design in a high-impact sculpture.
“ Art is more an idea than an object, I believe. „
