True Love Always Wins-Tracey Emin-1

British artist Tracey Emin (b. 1963) is known for incorporating all aspects of her personal experience into her art, turning intimate autobiography into broader statements about sex, love, death, freedom and everyday life. True Love Always Wins is a four-colour lithograph created in 2016 to celebrate Team GB’s participation in the 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Emin´s print features a snaking mountain -the winding journey to achieve true love- surmounted by the city´s iconic statue, Christ the Redeemer, whose stretched arms stand as a symbol of true love. The work encapsulates the optimism and positive energy that drives Team GB athletes and their supporters and acts as an inspirational statement of hope and faith for all.

“ I feel physically ill if I don't make work, I don't create. I don't feel very good. I don't feel right, I feel wrong. „
