In 221215, Guangle applied each layer of paint starting from the canvas’ far edges towards its center, creating a subtle gradation of colour and the effect of an illuminated window radiating from within. The repetitive layering of acrylic paint allows the viewer to notice and embrace the materiality of the medium and embodies the movement of the passage of time.
As a result of the state-of-the-art Hi-Rnd© Technology used to produce 221215, this artwork offers the same exact texture effect as the unique original painting created by the artist.
