On July 3rd, Weng Contemporary and PFA Studios proudly celebrated the opening of SLOWBURN, a thoughtfully curated exhibition hosted at Third Place in Erlenbach, Zürich. Framed by the soft summer light and the warm hum of conversation, the evening unfolded into an intimate gathering of collectors, creatives, and friends, drawn together by a shared appreciation for art that lingers just a little longer.
Presented in collaboration with PFA Studios, SLOWBURN brings together works by a dynamic group of artists, including Damien Hirst, Brian Eno, Otto Piene, Wang Guangle, Collin Sekajugo and Friedrich Kunath, whose practices explore themes of duration, transformation, and quiet intensity. The works on view include vibrant mixed media compositions but also quietly powerful prints, which challenge the pace at which we consume images, prompting visitors instead to slow down, reflect, and connect.

A highlight of the evening was the interactive postcard wall, where guests were invited to write what “SLOWBURN” meant to them. These personal reflections — poetic, humorous, and introspective — were then pinned to the wall, becoming part of the evolving exhibition landscape.
Guests were welcomed with complimentary drinks and an array of exquisite sushi hors d’oeuvres, and even had the chance to play some racket sports, creating a convivial atmosphere that perfectly matched the spirit of the show. As one guest noted, “The vibe and energy was wonderful. There was a distinct excitement amongst the guests and hosts alike. To complement the beautiful art and great atmosphere, there was an abundance of delicious sushi and complimentary drinks.”

“The atmosphere was very relaxed and playful and guests of all ages gathered around a ping-pong table, adding a fun, interactive layer to the evening. The music was perfectly curated to match the works on display—at one point, Brian Eno’s ambient soundscapes played softly from a speaker positioned right in front of his own pieces. It all came together beautifully: stylish people, meaningful art, and a great setting.„

We are delighted to have launched this collaboration with PFA Studios and to have brought our artists into dialogue with new audiences in such a vibrant setting. For those who missed the opening, the exhibition remains on view throughout the summer: an invitation to take your time, return often, and let the works reveal themselves in their own rhythm.
The exhibition runs through August 31, 2025, at PFA Studios, Bahnhofstrasse 44, 8703 Erlenbach. To experience SLOWBURN in a more personal setting, we warmly invite you to book a private viewing by contacting us directly.
